I'm coming home early this year and have entered this! Excited to be running on home turf for a change. Anybody else running/watching?

Ace! Last year it was like, the hottest day of the year, they had ambulances lined up for people collapsing in it, and I ran my fastest time of the year, lol

Oh I'm a tough old bird who's used to running in the desert heat so hopefully it'll stand me in good stead for a hot one. Although what's more likely is arctic conditions because I seem to have a habit of jinxing the weather every year just as I land on home soil

I'd better get some speed work done now I think to get my legs 10k sharp

I can see it starts at Sports City but what route does it go?

29th April Greater Manchester marathon5:29:25 (the weather gods played a joke)
20th May Bupa Great Manchester 10k 1:02:06 (pb) but will I ever crack the hour!
10th June Mersey Tunnel 10k 1:05:40

Unless they've changed it, this is the route I remember from last year - a large lap, then a smaller one, back into the stadium (the regional athletics one, not the etihad!)

i'd do it for a medal - thats how fickle i am

i'll come and watch though x

i owe rob a cheer for this run as it was my first 1 a couple of years ago and he cheered me into the stadium - so i need to cheer rob (and you guys )

I'll demand a high five at least!!!
