if it looks that gammy they might steer well clear of you, it could be an advantage

A glance at the final entry list shows there are over 1,800 runners. I could do with something to make them stay clear of me on this twisting course.
Cheers!

I'm still in! Taking it easy this week to make sure I have nice fresh legs for Sunday though!

At least I will recognise you RF by the wide berth everyone will be giving your gammy leg ;-)

Focus - sorry to hear you aren't able to run on Sunday, but don't blame you. How about aiming for the Cancer Research 10k in September at Sandringham?

Smile Hooray! I Did It!

01:17:40

Told you I was slow Now I have a PB to beat for next time

Took everyone's advice and started slow...and erm, stayed at that pace really until I got to about 8km and though "i can definitely finish" and upped it a bit. But think I probably could have (should have?) gone a bit faster cos I think I could have run further! But was really pleased that I managed to at least run all the way without stopping especialy considering when I started running in February, I could only do about 3 minutes before stopping to walk.

And no, I didnt come last - think there were about 60 people after me having looked at the results online tonight.

How did you do Runningfox?

Woo hoo well done GoSlow - taking part in your first race is always a big step so pat yourself on your back. When you were racing I don't know if you noticed a blur and wind rushing past you - that was probably Runningfox.

Well done GoSlow, was my first race too and I did it in 1:16 so we must have been close to each other!

Any other members doing the Great East Anglia Run? What time are you hoping for?

Cheers,
Dave
Hi Dave, I took part in GEAR on Sunday it was my first ever race, I hope you did get the encouragement to do it also. I was very pleased with my results beating my personal best by 6 mins finishing in 1hour 18sec. I now looking to join a running club and take part in further races.
