I can easily do that.

I know my bathroom scales arent super-accurate, but often times I have piled on a few pounds over a few days.

I always feel heavier though, and I know it is pretty much in proportion to my food intake.

Debz, I only just noticed you said you're on the injection. Have you been on it for long?

I only ask because I used to be on it and I put on masses of weight while I was (it's the evil meds I refer to on another post I've just made on another thread...). It gave me an enormous and practically insatiable appetite (I was still hungry after eating an enormous 3 course Christmas lunch and enough chocolates to satisfy the biggest chocaholic on the planet).

It sounds like you're not eating that much but I wonder if it's still doing something to your body which is causing the problem. It is renowned for making people gain weight...

Yeah, I think what also helped me lose a ton of weight when I initially did was coming off the pill and using a different contraceptive. Androgens are definitely known for having that effect. Although a colleague of mine said going on the injection simply made her breasts huge... she's skinny as hell with large breasts... B***h.

You have a colleague who's a brush? Do you talk to it? Or is it another of those more "physical" relationships?

... Or maybe ANS is refering to her colleague's manner as being brash?

I used to be obsessed with weighing myself and would weigh myself every morning first thing, with no clothes on and it is surprising how much your weight can fluctuate from day to day. That is why it is recommended that you only weigh once a week. I can put 3 or 4 lbs on in a day but then can lose it in a day too. I have put my scales away and am trying to get weighed once a week only now. I didn't go to weight watchers last night because I decided to save the £5.50 because I thought I had stayed the same again, but when I got on my own scales, which were the same as weight watchers last week I had lost 2 1/2 lb this week. But I am reluctant to believe them as like I said weight can fluctuate so much. If I got on them tonight I will have probably gained it again. I measured my waist and I have lost 2 inches in the ten weeks that I have been running although I am still a pound heavier than when I started, so have decided that the weight thing is not so important, and try to go by measurements and how your clothes feel.

I hereby re-name thee, Karen "Sensible" Edmunds (!)

That's a very commendable approach, Karen. I only hope that it can be an influential one.
