Smile Hi - Fat Bloke Needs Race

Hi Everybody

I'm looking for a race of between 5-10k for April on wards which is not too serious, as this will be my first time after a very hard battle against weight and I'd like to find one to help me focus my running (plodding).

Any ideas?

regards

Peter

Hi there
I am also a fat bloke starting to run. My colleagues have entered me into the Whipsnade Zoo 10K run. Its through the Dunstable road runners. the link is
http://www.dunstableroadrunners.org/...ble_10k_06.htm

Me and a guy at work are both fat and out of shape and we are preparing to run this.

May be worth a look

Andy

Silverstone 10k in May... not often you get to run on an F1 track!

It's a weekday evening race though

Hi Peter,
What about the BUPA 10000 in London on May 26th (bank holiday!)

We have a few places left to run for Children Today (a disabled children's charity) but applications must be in by the end of play Thursday 24th April!

At this stage we are willing to waive our sponsorship requirements so please give me a call on 07912 308576 or email me on emma@children-today.org.uk and we will welcome you onto our team!

Thanks,
Emma

Hi, welcome to the forum.

A good place to look for races is the Runners World site, which has quite a good events section.
