its the best running shoe in the world! You all should try them they cost almost nothing and are a dream to run in i have had a pair for two years now and they are still going strong! Has anyone else used there great shoes? If so please pop a little review in!

I used to run in silver shadows back in the early 80s. Found that they didn't have enough heel cup support for me as I pronate (or used to) on my left foot. Running shoes now have a lot more support and I don't pronate anymore. However, without support my left foot would probably revert to its old evil ways:eek:

no.. hi-tech did alot of work a few years ago developing a range of running shoes.
i was involved in some of the trials for them.

silver shadow was one of the models they were resurrecting...... i have some phtera's (or something similarly unpronouncable) which are ok. cant say i'd seek them out as a brand on purpose.

Really can't see the brand ever being taken seriously. Anyone who finds their way onto the forum seeking advice regarding footwear will be directed to their nearest specialist stockist. I'd be surprised; no, I'd be shocked if any of those outlets were found to be stocking any Hi-Tec shoes.

No HiTEC is the issued running shoe in the Army and the Army dont mess around when it comes to kit we get the best.

Nah seriously, I have run in HiTECs same with my friends and we have to say they are just as good as any other trainers you get out there if not better but they are basic.

I can't help but think that if they were really that great eth running specialists would stock them? Can't say I've seen them advertised anywhere either?

Will a shoe is a shoe to me aslong as it does not hurt my feet or give me blisters I am happy, not really in to all these so called professional running shoes i think most are just cons as you can do the same with a cheaper but just as good shoe IMO.

Umm..... I started off with some cheap reeboks and within about three weeks I had terrible trouble with tendons around my ankles. A physio friend recommended a visit to sweatshop and I brought a 'professional' pair of running shoes. I wouldn't consider any less now. Your feet, ankles and knees come under an immense amount of stress when running, so good shoes are a must if you want to avoid those sort of injuries.
