I guess emotional pain hurts more mentally than physical pain, as there's less understanding of it - if your leg hurts, you know why, and within reason you can work out when it will get better etc... Not quite the same with emotional pain.

Without wanting to dismiss the article (and admitedly I gave up reading it halfway through) you could quite easily argue that anything in life can kill you Probably better to just not get sucked in by such articles.

Dear Clare:-
I can confirm that after being hit by a 32ton truck whilst on my motorbike and having my leg smashed in 26 pieces,my broken heart was more painful.

Was the bike alright?! Sorry, just joking - you okay now?

Come on peeps, this thread wasn't really about the article, it was about a member expressing her pain.

Mind you, we all have our running to ease the pain a bit!
Life goes on. I lost a really close friend earlier this year to a heart attack at 36 yrs old. He lived every day like it was his last and never got hung up on stuff. Short life but a full one. It's self destructive to wallow for too long. Life goes on and you never know what's round the corner. After a big break up in 1993 I met my life partner 2 months later. Been with her ever since!
