I'd be arrested
Seriously, I was out running at dawn one morning back in Feb? March? when it was minus something stupid - crazy hard frost and after just a few minutes, I was really warm, just running in jogging bottoms and a t-shirt. I wasn't overheating that day, but I certainly wasn't cold. I overheat in swimming pools when everyone else is complaining that the water's too cold and I'll happily sit in short sleeves in the office too when others are moaning about their numb fingers and putting cardigans on.
Anyway, as long as I keep sipping water, I seem to be fine, though I certainly wouldn't even think about running on a really hot day.
Maybe it'll get better as I lose more of my built-in duvet

I ran a 10km last night and was gasping for a drink by halfway! By the time I hit the 7km, I really had to slow down, because the heat was getting to me.

I think we all need to adjust to this warmer weather, it is hard going. I've just been out, and I don't get thirsty, it's just my throat that gets dry.

Last night certainly was a struggle with the heat.
My T shirt was soaked and my mouth felt like I had been chewing on sandpaper.
I kind of like running in the cold and dark as it means that there will be less people out and about. When you run past people sitting outside the pub having a lovely drink it is quite torturous!

The hotter weather certainly plays a part for me, the other month I ran 6.5 miles and never touched a drop. Ran the same distance yesterday and was parched despite drinking plenty in the build up.
One thing to watch out for though is overhydration, hyponatraemia is the fancy name for it. This is where you have drank too much water and diluted down the bodies own supplies of salts which in extreme cases can prove fatal. It has been proven that you perform better in endurance events if you are slightly dehydrated.

Funny that, I feel exactly the opposite. I feel quite superior to all the heavyweights having a fag in the garden and proud of the fact that I was once doing the same myself. I'm now so much fitter and feeling a lot better about myself.
So while I still enjoy the odd drink (especially outside in this glorious weather) I also enjoy getting a good sweat up in this heat. It means that I deserve the drink and I can enjoy it all the more when I eventually get it.

Regardless of everyones ideals on taking on water during training runs of varying distances, the difference it makes will be minor, by far the most important factor in my opinion is that you get out the door and do that run, whether you have a bottle of water in your hand or not!

I went for a 14 mile run the other evening but before starting I hopped on the scales, 12st 10lbs and when I dragged my sorry backside through the front door---- 12st 7lbs now I've still got the love handles so I guess I must have leaked the rest, I must say from the 10 ish mile mark I was very glad of the paltry 300ml in my donut bottle.perhaps it's just the way my body works but does anyone else, er sweat copiously ( sorry ladies perspire )

i'm too lazy to wake up in the mornings...
i normally get up about noon and run in the heat wave...
major problem with sweat but i've already gone down to running vest + shorts...
so other than moving to iceland or running naked - i'm just going to keep put up with the heat !...
it is quite nice though... even got a bit tanned from this running in the sun this week...

The only thing about it is that I end up with a comic tan from running in shorts and running top... not brave enough to run in my bikini yet
