I think the '05 series was marketed as having an improved GPS reciever... so that would probably explain it!

They have told me to do a software update which may improve the signal.

But I have decided to sell my 201 anyway, so, if anyone is interested, drop me a message.

I find the 201 a right pain to run with. Just seems such a weight.

Do all you guys use it on your arm, or some other place with a different type of holder?

I put it on my wrist and it seems fine. I've just upgraded the software so will run with it tomorrow and see how the signal is.
