If it's just a time thing, then you have to get creative. What do you do while your son plays footy? If you have to stand around waiting for him to finish, that seems to me to be a good time for a run. Other options depend on your current ability and circumstances, but it's common for people to run all or part of the way to or from work or to run at lunch.

Oh dear Scott..... I hope you are on the mend soon.

We didn't go out last night after an exhausting weekend with the kids but I'm hoping to go tomorrow. Just hope I don't struggle as much as Saturday morning. I'll be disappointed if I do.

Managed to get out tonight finally and did 1.47mi..... I took a new route down the back lanes with LO on his scooter so wasn't alone. It was muddy but I did it ok.

Enjoyed it to be honest so here's hoping for Friday!

I've started C25K again after completing it a couple of years a go but then got injured in a non running way and let my running slip.
I've started at week 3 and found that easy so will try week 4 this coming week. If that's ok I'll carry on from there but if I struggle its back to week 3 again.
Its nice to be out again and since moving house I have a lot more interesting areas to run in.

I'm back too but I have made the monumental decision of not following a plan - cue shock horror!

I had to stop again in october for an operation, but got the all clear in jan to start again BUT I just found the whole C25K too strict...

tonight I have just got back from a 2.6 mile run in 31.40 mins with 25 mins of non-stop running... monday night I could barely run for 5 mins without having to walk... but that's the way it is sometimes and I am now cool with it.

I'm just running because I like it, if I need to walk I'm going to and not keep trying to run because some silly little voice in my ear says I've got to keep going....

Good Work RM - as long as you are finding something that works for you, fair play!

I have done the first two runs this week, and plan my 3rd one tonight, will see how it goes

Good luck Scott, I can't get out again until Saturday now, that's partly way I've given up on C25K. Some weeks I can only get out once, others 4 times!

Don't get me wrong - C25K works really well and got me to the point where I could run for 10 mins, walk and then run again for 10 mins, but sometimes when you're having a bad day - you have just got to walk a bit more!

Yeah im using it just as a base at the moment, as last time i started running my shins were sore, so have upped the dog walks prior to starting again, and lost 20lbs, so hopefully once i get a few weeks in, i can ditch the plan and just freestyle it!

Will continue with the app until i am comfortable doing at least ten mins.

Did Week 1 Run 3 last night, felt ok, shins are holding up, and managed to take 15 seconds per km off since my first run the begging of the week.

Will start Week 2 tomorrow and see how that goes.

How have you got on Melody?

I am still going although I also completed 10K.

I have had time off due to a calf injury (I keep getting these) and have gone back to week 5 I will build up from there as my goal this year is a HM
