Running on soft grassland with NORMAL trainers?

Is running over grass land in normal trainers all right for beginners? and then should someone upgrade there trainers when they hit the road?

or does proper running trainers apply to soft grass land aswell?

what are the injury imapacts if wrogn trainers are worn?

soft surfaces are better, as less impact.... potentially still the same issues with dodgy foot motion (as per other thread), but on grass/trail you generally land slightly wonky each time anyway so i'm never sure if it can matter as much.

good for strengthening the ankles (etc) too, which should help prevent injury in the long run.
