I personally find that when a piece of music I find more enjoyable comes on my mp3 player it seems to help my running. If a piece of music has a good rythm I feel good to run with the beat.

I usually run home from work (6 miles) 3 times a week and listen to a local football phone-in show. (it's on peaceful Sunday morning runs I chill to my metal and punk )
