If I listen to my body I'd run a marathon everyday *I only run 1.7K at the moment *
But that is how I feel, or is it how running makes me feel

how much you can handle will vary from person to person. Most ofit has already been said i think.

1 mile is not much. The human body is designed to do allot more than that every day no problem. If you have been sedentary for some time though it would be bst to build it up over a fewweeks. One of the experienced runners on here could put you together a goal specific program????

How much rest bodybuilders take is different depending on the type of training program. Some like doing 5 days per week straight and rest at weekends, some like every other day as Staka says, and allot of the pro's train twice per day..although they have much better "supplementation" regimes" than me. For naturals and guys who only use small amounts of performance enhancers, rest is very importaint.

I've only just started jogging and I've found its much better to have days off, I jogged Monday and Tuesday and didnt manage much. I couldnt be bothered on Wednesday as I was knackered from work. I went out again last night and doubled the time I can jog for. Thats enough for me to know I need rest days on a regualar basis.
