Weightloss tips

Hi

Ive been running for about 5 weeks now, and am very happy with my progress.
I have been running 5 miles 3-4 times a week.

But have had no luck with losing weight, well some but not as much as I imagined.

Has anyone any tips for faster weight loss, will different distances , paces and resting periods effect my success.

thanks if you can help

Stick with it Mike.

Depends on how big you are. 5 miles 3 or 4 times a week sounds good. Watch what you eat and maybe add a gym session or two. Or maybe a swim.
Very important, dont eat after 8.00pm.

Eat less and train more.
If you can cut out the alcohol do it!

Dale, I have never been convinced by the don't eat after such and such a time. Surely it's just a calories in/out calculation. I f you can furnish me with some other info I stand corrected!

I think it is something to do with undigested food still being in the stomach when you go to sleep. Or, unused calories that are stored as fat.

A well known saying - only wish I could stick to it myself.

More runs...speed sessions and long slow runs... will do it for you eventually.
Got to eat and drink less too whilst staying fuelled for running.
Give yourself attainable targets to aim for with rewards if successful..ie a beer, not 2/3!
