Quick leg wax beforehand....might make you run faster!.....more aerodynamic...........or maybe if someone ran behind you with the wax!

Maybe a full length ball gown would be best...no need to show legs then!
Rolled up paper or 2 oranges though?!

This is getting to sound like a sketch from Little Britain!

I have some 'juggling boobs' that you could borrow....they are very realistic!....but you might need a sports bra then.

I will look out for you, chiffon or crimpolean!

Perhaps something that Scarlett O'Hara might have worn! What would Trinny and Susannah say?
"Juggling boobs"....the mind boggles! Must admit I do see them sometimes but thought that was because no sports bra was being worn!
I'd need a wig too!

I have a witches wig, the race is on Halloween weekend!
Perhaps you could come as 'The only gay in the village' instead......although it might be a bit hot in the rubber pants!
Anyway, I am going to forego the alcoholic parties and enter. If they let me in that is....suppose I am 'a lady'!

A (male) friend of mine's sport of choice is weightlifting, and chest hair waxing has become treny among his crowd
I'm sticking to running !

So that's hair, dress and boobs sorted!
High heels or flats?
Stockings?!
Make up?
Handbag?.....and all its contents...whatever they may be!
Perhaps it would be easier to dress as the "only gay in the village"!

A very hairy friend of mine had his back waxed...and, like a fool, told me, in confidence.....now everyone knows about it! Well you would let on, wouldn't you? Nothing to do with running except he did run a 1/2m once!

I used to think I was wandering off the topic when I mentioned having a few beers.

Think I`ll leave this thread alone,It`s having a worrying effect on me.

All this, and it was only because I said that I was thinking of entering a 'Ladies Race'. I thought that it might be a bit of a girlie thing, but sounds like a good race. In fact I was up around Oxford today, so I just had to have a little drive round.....see how big the 'undulating' bits were! very pretty around there......didn't see Steve practising in his long dress and heels, but did see a few runners and felt jealous that I didn't have my running stuff with me......god I've got it bad!

Which race around Oxford is that then, Lyn? Oxford is my home town, and I'd hate to think there might be something around here that I might miss out on. Mind you, I'm still only ready for 5K races, and have just started the BUPA training plan for 10K, but that will be another 8 weeks before I get to that distance.

Hi Karen,

The race is 'Candleford Ladies Canter', details are all online. It starts and ends at Fringford Village Hall just north of Bicester. It has been run for the last two years.

My running friend who was training for the 10k 2 weeks ago was ill, so we decided to go for a 10k asap when she felt better. Not sure if she can make it or not, but I'm going for it anyway, it will make a nice change of scenery. We are both a bit slow, but there were very mixed times in the last two years results.

Maybe see you there???

Lyn.
