Run out and back is 2.5 miles. 4 x 1 mile hilly loops with rest between and alternate direction change. End of third lap produced burning in bottom of left shin and reduced the pace considerably. First occurance of shin splits but I'm off on monday to get measured at a running shop in Norwich for new trainers.
