Planning to do an easy run... YEAH RIGHT! Met Hel&Jos at the stadium just after 3km and went with them. Hel said "Watch out, Kenyan pace" hehe as I always call them The Kenyans
Went with them until 9km. I wanted to quit after two but persevered and wow! Came out with a 5km YB

5km - 19:33
Splits: 4:01.6 (after a 4:03); 3:52.9; 3:52.9; 3:52.5; 3:53.8 - all "ondulating".

There I was, running easy, enjoying the lovely evening... BANG! I met Hel and thought "ach, I'll just go with him for a couple of minutes..."
Yeah right!
It turned into 5km - 20:43 (4:08/km - 6:40/mi) with the kms going:

4:12, 4:16, 4:12, 4:09, 3:52 ondulating, post-dentist, after the "fast" 5km 4 hours earlier!
I am happy with that

Close to the 10th mile, a homeless man walked to me as I waited at the traffic lights and the first thing he said was "Do you want me to remove my underwear?" That was very kind of him but I declined the offer He then went on to ask why I was sweating... This went on for a few minutes... Just as he was (probably) about to propose I took off - lights still red but no cars

I felt like running half an hour and get into a hot bath but a date is a date
After 6 miles I was just hoping I would eventually feel a bit less tired but that is not what usually happens, is it? Well... it did.
I felt better as I hit the longer, steeper hills.
From the start I wanted ot improve on my Half-Marathon YB (Year's Best) of 1:42:50 from last week so I was keeping an eye on the splits. I still pushed in the last couple of miles to go under 1:41 (and in the end under 1:40:50 ).
Two easy kms then to get home.

Very hilly.
