Goal - JqAl were going to do 5x2000m and my initial goal was to go with them. Felt the same leg weakness/fatigue as in the last few days and decided to skip the intervals. After they did the strides I decided to do one. Long breaks and still managed 3x1000 on top of that. Decent times for the level of fatigue.

2000m+3x1000m. Recovery walking/standing: (+-) 6:30, 5:10, 5:10

7:01.5 (3:37.4+3:24.2) - With them until the last 250m and then accelerated.
3:26:9 - Their second km. Again accelerating with 250m to go.
3:24.4 - Middle of their rep. Same as above.
3:22.8 - Just after their start.Went ahead for the last 400m.

Hilly. First 7.5km with JqAl but they were going too slow. I hadn't planned such a long run but by then I had to get back home and took the "scenic" route. Picking up the pace in the end.
Feeling very strong except for the calves. I've been eating well, resting a lot (not sleeping well though)... I hope to recover soon. Not sure about doing speedwork tomorrow.

It was very hot but I felt tired, totally drained, from the start.
I thought things might get better after warming up but that didn't quite happen.
Had to adapt the session

warm up - 22mins+, cool down - 19mins

Goal - 10-20 hillls (+-270m) Working on knee-lift and cadence. Felt so tired that during the 6th thought about calling it a day. Decided to go for 8 and actually felt a bit better in the 8th. 10 and no more was the final goal. Picked the pace up a bit in the 9th and more in the 10th. Very hard work. Good, regular times though.

Wet grass, some wind but not much.
Checked the pace (over 100m) three times and it was 3:30/km, 3:20/km, 3:20km. Happy with that, especially as I was being careful not to go too hard.
27mins Fartlek after yesterday's run and felt good

I wasn't very sure about doing it today but I went for it. If I didn't feel good in the first minute I would abort the attempt and try again on Sunday. At first I thought about running it on the grass but there was too much water there after the heavy rain. I kept running, barefoot, to the track and it was very slippery around two of the corners.
After 200m under 40secs I had mixed feelings - had I started too fast? But I felt good! Was it possible that I was going to break last month's time barefoot, on a slippery track and with some wind?
1km in 3:18 and feeling strong! I started accelerating but it was hard to negotiate the bends so fast (slippery).
3:18+1:57 was way beyond what I had expected and even faster than my time last October!
Conclusions? I am improving and I have to believe more in myself.

The plan was to run a Half-Marathon under my H-M-T YB (Half-Marathon Time Year Best) of 1:32:50. I wanted to go through 10 miles under 4:30/km average but after 6km it was already down to 4:20 so I tried to go under 1:30 for the Half (4:15/km).
Out and back course. Windy on the way back. Had to work hard to keep the split times. The last km was VERY windy for about 700m of it.
