This is the first time I've been out running for about a month. I could blame it on a minor injury and feeling a bit off colour, but it's actually down to laziness on my part

I've found that since starting the new job, I've found it difficult to get motivated to go out running before or after shifts. Add to that the fact that I started smoking again and it's not good.

One good thing that's came from this break is that I've found that when I was not smoking, eating well and running regularly, I was sleeping better when on nightshifts and recovering better after stints of nightshifts. To be honest I felt a whole lot better overall.

Anyhow, todays run was a nice leisurely one to gently get myself back into it and I'm feeling a whole lot better now I've finished it!
