Did an interval session as part of my new training program. 1 minute bursts of 10kph with 4 minutes of 8kph in between. Went well so pleased.

Second run in the new shoes - fantastic! It's amazing to run for 5 miles without any pain or niggles in my legs for the first time ever.
I hope this continues...

Well, after gait analysis on Sunday, purchased a shiny new pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10's to correct my over-pronation (which I was shown on the video screen) and what a difference! So much better than my old shoes! By the end of my first treadmill session (7K) with the new shoes I'd got into a really comfortable motion and consistent form and my legs felt so much better than usual after the run. Great start with these shoes - to be honest I wasn't expecting there to be such a big difference (I'd been running in an old pair of NB 680's 'til now) - can't wait to try them outside. Hopefully 'goodbye' shin splints and other niggly injuries and 'hello' to pain free running!

Usual 5K road run - legs felt bad (shin splints). Guess it's just because I've not done much road running for a month. Going to get the gait analysis done this weekend so hopefully that will help sort out all my leg issues. Jeez I hope so!

First, tentative run after injury so took it easy and only did 5K at 8kph. Managed it fine with seemingly no after effects on the legs. Very pleased but taking it very gradually coming back this time. Planning to go to new local running shop for gait analysis soon, so hopefully that will help prevent future injuries too.
