Ran to start - 9 mins 36, then 5.95 as per last Tuesday but going straight back to house from top of Molesworth Street. Felt quite hard but in a good way.
Average pace for the whole lot 9.57

Lidls and Church v 3 - Set Garmin to lap at each .5 mile - did .5m easy, 05. bit harder, 0.5 harder still then alternate easy and hard
Very pleased with the result - a route pb! - especially as legs were feeling a bit tired and I didn't feel as though I was going that fast.
Average pace 9.52.

Same route as last Tuesday - pace a bit slower than last week (legs in need of that) but felt quite easy/relaxed. (Average - 10.29 pace)
Mile splits as follows:
10.12, 10.10, 10.23, 10.19 (v pleased with consistency(ish) up to here! )
11.42 (going up to Tescos)
9.38 (..and back down)
11.04 - pace for last bit up Gonvena Hill

Ran back from Sainsburys in Bodmin , going around Annekas Bridge loop at end.

Supposed to be my LSR but was so annoyed at myself from yesterday decided to have another go at a timed mile - did the third mile in 8.21 - quite happy with that all things considered.
(This run was supposed to be a 'short long run' - aiming for about 8 but legs weren't really up to any more - average pace 10.09 - a bit too quick for a LSR - not so long ago some of my 'quick' runs were slower than this! - Overall route is slightly downhill but not really significantly.

Timed mile fail! Went off way too quick then stopped after 0.45 mile - really annoyed at myself for stopping - even though I'd got the pacing all wrong generally think its always best to carry on and see what happens.

Lidls and Tremarren Hills.
Lidls - 47.07, 45.80, 47.38 - legs feeling a bit tired and not wanting to go too mad due to timed mile on Saturday.
Tremarren - 37.65, 37.86, 37.38 - bit better than last weeks effort - felt that technique was better - lifting knees higher seemed to help.

As last week but went all the way up to Tescos. Brief stoppage to talk to two potential new recruits just after the alleyway (not included in total time).
Overall pace a tiny bit slower than last Tuesday@ 10.06 but felt like a much better run - longer and the bits where we were going quicker seemed faster but also easier than normal!

3 x 5 press ups.

Cinema loop to warm up then 3 x Lidls 'hill' - 49.64, 46.57. 48.50. Very happy with that - marginally slower than in previous weeks but legs feeling quite tired and would have expected something slower.
Then Westerlands Avenue loop to recover - bit too long at approx 6 mins, and not really good for recovery as overall is uphill and quite steep towards the end - probably best to jog straight to the start of the next lot next time.
Then x 3 Tremarren Avenue from first lampost on left to sign for school. 38.09, 37.28, 41.10 Owwww that really is a hill! (Pace on each works out to 11.59, 10.51 and 11.44 - not sure why the middle one was so much quicker. Definitely room for improvement here!

Average pace for whole run 10.50

Finally cracked the 10 minute mile barrier! (9 59 pace ) (Not that I haven't done it before - but its been a while on this particular route (or anything vaguely similar).
Wasn't intending to push it (and didn't really feel like I was until the last stretch up Gonvena Hill) as legs had been feeling quite achy from last week (but only during the day - hardly noticed when I got going, back also a bit stiff but touch wood, fingers crossed seems fine now (on Wednesday)).

Got dropped off at Bodmin and ran back along trail coming off at Grogley, then up hill and back down hairpin bend, up Burlawn Hill plus a few loops around town to make up the distance.
Felt the best I've done on a long run for ages.
Average pace 10.38 = v happy with that especially taking into account the hills.

An exploratory run to try out some different hills! Tried - West Park roundabout, from first lamp post on right to start of white lines at top - approx 30 seconds - not really long enough - did 3 of these.
Also Talmena Avenue from first lamp post on right to last one before school - much steeper and approx 45 seconds so that's probably the one to do (but stopped after one this time as feeling a bit pooped).
Overall legs feeling a bit tired and very windy so pace a bit slow - 10.56 minute miling but all being well will have done 5 runs this week - can't remember the last time I did that!

Ran to coast from New Polzeath and back, plus a few loops round the car park while waiting for Glenn.
Really windy - started to go down the coast path a little way but decided to turn back.
Far too many gates and stiles on this route to be worrying about time!
