"Flying" is a bit of an exaggeration, but I felt great - this is the furthest I've run since the Edinburgh Marathon 2009, by a fair distance (about 7 miles). Had two gels, one at 10 miles and the other at 18, but nothing else (gels were isotonic). Pace was pretty even with a slight dip at 17-18 miles, but as I started heading towards home it picked up a bit. I even tried to have a bit of fun with the Garmin and attempted to draw a penis on the map in Bellahouston Park, which almost worked!
Average pace of 8:50/mi which translates to a marathon of 3:51:36, which feels great - ideally I'm aiming for 3:30 in Edinburgh in May, and with 4 months to go I'm feeling pretty confident

Went a route that I do fairly often to see how accurate my previous distancing efforts with Google Earth were - I'd (optimistically as it turns out) had this at about 9.1 miles, but the difference is so small that I'm not going to worry about it for past records or anything. Loving it so far, I'm pretty sure this'll be a fairly high mileage week to get round all my frequent routes to see how far they really are
