Intended a rest day but went out for an easy run on flat road/grass course.Very cold,windy and rain but enjoyed.Calfs a lot better on flat course.

A very tough race over hilly 12Km trail,rough and rutted track.Got to turn around point in 47Mins+,then finished in a slow 1.35.13 very sore and tired.Longest race for a long time,some 10mins slower than last year and 40mins slower than my course best some ten years ago.
Still,as Sue said I'm only back some eleven weeks or so from my disc problem when I could not run to the end of the street.So true!

A very cold and wet day by Oz standards,12C and cold rain for most of the session.
Ran just over an hour of walk/jog/stride on tarmac and grass.Felt remarkably good considering yesterday's race effort.Legs are taking longer into each session before playing up.
I was so inspired that I on-line entered the Sydney Bridge 9K road race even though it is
not till late Sept. A few others before that one however I hope.

Yesterday was supposed to be a rest day,but tired myself a bit by 3hrs of gardening,mowing and pulling a tree out of the ground.
Today I ran as I felt for just over 10K,putting in a 3x1Km session during it,easy running and walking between each "faster" Km.Clocked 5.38/5.30/5.25 very pleasing since I have been running much slower of late.The calfs appear to be improving.
