Last run of 2011,a speed session after a good warm up on grass track with veteran club mates.
Included 4x160m in 46s(3' walk rest) plus 4x240m in 62/63/62/58s(2'wr).
Quite anaerobic to finish off best monthly mileage(154 miles/249 Kms) of the year and best month since April 2009.

A very tired run up and down the steep hills in local Bush Reserve.Really feeling the major jump in my Kms in December.

Did a fartlek session out and back course of varying fast intervals on mix of tarmac,soft soil and cinder paths.Hot 26C and sunny day
Overall Km pace was 7m44s/km,getting into anaerobic conditioning pace area.Tired overall as felt yesterday's long walk.

8AM: Walked an easy 4.4Km on Lake Maq path in about 43 minutes..
2PM: Did an increasing pace Aerobic Conditioning WALK of 12.6Km on one of my favourite paths of smooth but undulating tarmac.
Out in 59.20 at avg. 9.25/Km pace
Retn in 58.00 at avg.9.12?Km pace.
Conditions were fair with cloud overhead and light rain for last 4Km.
Good day of 17Km.

Coming up to end of 2011 year with some improvement in calf problems,so hoping to run a little faster in 2012.Expect to be limited to about 10Km or less for racing.
Will attempt 1000 miles/1610 Kms total in 2012 as a goal, with regular racing.

The run today was over a tough trail course,very rutted and steep hills.A fair amount was covered at just about walking pace because of course severity combined with 26C temp. and high humidity.
The bottle of light beer now being consumed tastes great.
