A trip down memory lane... I ran the 5.4mile route I used to run when I started running. The first time I did this route I was over the moon, I think I managed it in something like 53mins though I really can't remember. I do remember working hard and redoing that route many times - my PB was about 38mins.
Then I moved in with my OH so that was no longer my regular route - Today I was visiting parents so went out to do it again. Amazing to think what a long way I've come... I nearly died managing that 38mins time, yet today I comfortably jogged the route (with a few bursts of speed) and improved my route PB by over 1:30!

Felt absolutely terrible... by 18miles I just wanted to be home, legs were struggling to stay in motion, let alone maintain any kind of pace. 20mile in I stopped to try and stretch my quads, but this just sent my hamstrings into severe cramping. I hobbled the remaining two miles home.
