Have to say I think that was the hardest Treadmill session I have done! Was blooming hot in the Conservatory! (where my Treadmill is)

First run in my new running shoes!! (Asics Gel-Pulse 2's)

Took it steady to break them in

7.0mph all the way up to the last 00:03:50 where I upped it to 8.0mph!

Also threw in some inclines:-

5 mins @ 4%
5 mins @ 6%

Shoes feel good accept I tied the right one too tight which caused some soreness on the top of my foot! Doh!!

Never thought I could ever run 10 miles non stop!

Was intending to run a gentle 5k so don't know what happened! Lol

No Incline!!

Started at 7.5mph & increased to 7.6mph after 1/2 mile

Increased to 7.7 mph at 5.7 miles then 7.8mph at 5.9mph!

Finally increased to 8mph at 6.1 miles for the final push!

Warmed down afterwards at 4mph - 4% incline!

Felt really good at the end so hopefully will be on for a reasonable time tomorrow!

Keep beating my Longest runs on the Treadmill!
9.0 miles is now the record!

Didn't intend to run this far! Wanted to run 4.25 miles at a decent pace to see what sort of time I could do it in! (Blenheim run 7k is on Saturday) Wanted to see what sort of time to aim for & did it in 34 minutes (32:40 really).
Once I had done this I slowed down to 7.1mph & just kept going!

Could have probably gone further but as the treadmill is in the Conservatory & it has been really hot today, I was literally cooking! Lol
Must get a thermometer in there to see how hot it gets!

First ever LSR for me! (although everyone of my runs is slow)
I know that it isn't that long by most peoples standards but it is my Longest road run ever!

I chose to do the Grendon loop (route I do on my mountain bike) but Anti-Clockwise as it would be more challenging because of the long uphill slog in the second half of the route!

Legs felt tired & heavy,probably because even though I had a rest day yesterday I still did loads of walking!

1/2 mile into run I was thinking 'I can't do this! 1 mile in I was ready to stop! but by 3 miles I had settled into a rythem & my breathing was a lot less laboured

The last 3 miles were a killer though as it is mostly a long gradual uphill slog! I kept going though so I am really pleased with myself!

I expected to take about 01:15:00 to complete this run so I am really happy that I did it in less than an hour!! (although I should learn to pace myself correctly)
