taking care of running clothes

I bought myself a pair of ron hill running pants and long sleeve tee, but aren't sure how best to look after them. Is it necessary to wash the tee after every run? I know the ron hill tees are meant to deal with sweat better than regular tops, but after my run this morning it was soaked through. I've just left it to dry on a heated rail. Is it ok to do this and maybe wash it once a week? I don't want to be susceptible to bacterial infection or anything.

I tend to wash my technical clothing after every few workouts... though it's only very recently that I realised you should be careful when washing to make sure you don't use fabric conditioner as it restricts the fabrics moisture wicking capabilities, and also to use non-bio detergent... obviously wash at low temperatures as well.

As for drying... don't tumble dry and certainly don't allow any printed logo's etc to come into contact with a radiator. As for general drying on radiators though i'm not sure! I tend to let mine dry naturally anyway.

i have a high turnover of kit as i do quite alot of sessions a week (swimming & cycling too so the kit isnt totally common).

mine goes through the machine, usually after only one session per item with non-bio, as synthetics with a relatively gentle spin.

waterproof/windproofs get recycled for as long as possible and then washed with specialist stuff.
