I've never tried these before.

Are they rather tight? Do you need a great ass and flat stomach to carry these off?

Am i right that they keep you warm in winter and cool in summer?(the same ones?)

Been looking on Amazon..... any suggestions for best place to buy online?

Thanks :-D

Wiggle is my fave online store...no you don't need to have a great figure to wear these in fact they enhance my figure by holding in all the wobbly bits and I look pretty cool in them...one tip I found that helped try and get the size less than you would normally use....at first glance you'll think I'll never get into these but that's the point the tighter the better...and yes when you've got them on they don't feel that tight anyway....I originally went for large and they were tight yet comfortable but when I tried medium on they felt tighter but still comfortable....and I looked better...

are compression tights meant to be worn as a top layer or are they underwear? i thought they were like leggins and to be worn as the top layer but i've just read about these and they say they're underwear?? is that right?

thanks for the links runnerbean18 but I don't have an e-bay account, never used that site :)

I've ordered a jacket and compression tights from Wiggle (took me ages to choose them!)

(hope they DO hide my wobbly bits lol)

I use Skins compression leggings in the winter when the wind comes off the Sea. I also have a few niggles with my calfs and these seem to help loads. So much so I had to purchase compression socks for the summer!
I have two HH thermal base layers, they do a great job in the winter.
NO you don't need a good figure to run in them I'm living proof!

I have the Skins Travel and Recovery tights, but even though the shop measured me for them I have to say that they are darned uncomfortable. The waist is really tight and the crotch just doesn't work quite properly.

Do I take it that the A200 and A400 series are more comfortable for exercising in?

just wore my compression tights for a run for first time today and either my garmin is faulty or I had my best time that i've run for a while! and my HR was lower than usual. wicked! well impressed - they do work!
they were hard work to put on tho and i felt they were a bit too bunched up around my knee, hopefully will get the hang of putting them on soon :)

I simply love my orca killa compression tights... not too pricy, an absolute bugger to get into, but great when on! (bought my first pair on e-bay dirt cheap 'cos I couldn't afford skins!)

they are supposed to be approx 70 denier, so not too thick... I haven't got overly hot in them yet, but then again, we really haven't had any decent weather to test them in!

I wear leggings that have lots of elastic in them to stop you wobbling etc, is this pretty much the same thing, or are compression tights extra tight round the knee to support your joint etc?

Mine were £15 from avon, and i wouldnt run in anything that doesnt stop wobble.

My local running shop gave me a par of compression socks to try out.... I've always thought they were a bit weird looking and slightly elitest but I have to admit they do feel comfortable and reckon they would be good for recovery... Not sure I'm brave enough to run in them yet though but I do want to try! I guess they look like football socks but without shin pads!

As for other compression kit, definitely find skins leggings are good for recovery but too tight to run in to be honest (bit too tight where you don't want it to be if you know what I mean), compression tops always feel comfy under a top in the winter and help hold a heart rate strap in place, I don't think the tops are of any physical benefit other than making you feel like your in a superman costume!

I have compression socks from Lidl and they are comfy. Not as tight as they could be on me but I have the legs of a stick figure. The best part of them is the sizing as they are 5-6, 7-8 etc so if you are at the lower end of the foot sizes you don't end up with the ankle compression halfway up your leg.

I have them in white so I'll be trying to get a black pair on Thursday.

The missus is nipping in and getting me a couple of tops later today, not sure if I go for XL or L. I wear XL-XXL T-Shirts usually as I do like a baggy top, but obviously that's not the purpose of compression wear.

Need to get something as I don't think my poor nipples can take much more and the idea of not being quite so jiggly when running is somewhat appealing.

Just got some compression socks and a top. Might pop back tomorrow for the shorts and maybe another top. Feels snug, which is the whole point I guess, but doesn't it get hot in compression gear?

Not that I care, as long as it pulls my moobs in a bit...

Pretty tight, I think.. I've got a couple of Nike compression tops in size L (I'm usually M) and they're pretty skintight.

Don't think mine will be out of the cupboard for a few months, though, if this weather is a sign of things to come (it's probably not!).

I have compression shorts and a top by skins, only wore the top once as felt like I couldn't get my breath properly, could be due to my asthma though not sure.

I managed to pick up an under-armour compression thermal mock top from TKMaxx for £20.00 last week and went out for a run at about 0/1 degrees the other night and it was brilliant with regards to keeping me warm. I originally bought one to reduce on nipple chafe... and I can say it definitely works. I'll be picking up more compression gear for underneath my running clothes all year round. Its tight, but tight is good :)
