Hats can do that ..but if it is really cold or windy I have to wear one. When the old bonce gets hot I simply take it off for a few mins.

I've got one of those ear warmer thingies. No not pink earmuffs before anyone says anything ;-). It's like a hat without the top bit and I find it stops me getting earache, keeps my head warm but not hot.

Anyway back to the thread - my Brookes HVAC tshirt came the other day and I wore it for a half hour run and it was really comfy. My sore nips didn't seem to get any worse so I will be wearing it for my first race tomorrow. The HVAC baseball cap was out of stock but luckily it looks like most of the Crawley 10k is in the forest so I shouldn't need one this time.

Good luck with your race.

Generally yes..tight fitting so close to the skin ...helps muscles keep warm.

Nice!
I'd considered getting some of those shorts... sounds like they're not really appreciated by others having to look at you though
