problems with zips!

today I busted two zips on two consecutive running jackets. I have four jackets, I bought them all from Aldi over the year, they cost about 6 quid I think. Problem is, when I leave them to dry in the garage after my runs, after a few months the residual sweat on the zips seems to form like salt and literally corrodes the metal ends and they fall apart. does anybody else have this problem or do you think it's just an issue with cheap clothes? This is the third zipless jacket i now own

Thought it was a computer related question for a minute

No experience with this kind of zip I'm afraid!

No I have not had this problem, but without sounding rude do you not wash them to stop the salt corroding your jackets?

I was going to say the same... give them a wash or maybe even a thin coating of vaseline?

oh... and I always tend to find cheap clothing never lasts quite as long... but seeing as it's cheap in the first place it's not much of a problem really
