windproof jacket (tried Karrimor)

Hiya all,

I'm looking for a windproof running jacket but have some difficulty finding the right one. I have fairly wide shoulders and hips, which excludes a lot of items. I'm not really looking for the most expensive item around, and I would prefers the jacket to be a bit longer to also protect my backside, but light weight.

Just returned from my local sports direct where I tried on a Karrimor xlight jacket, which fitted just about well enough. However, the label stated it would not be windproof, compared to the male version and the arms seemed a bit short. Tried on a lot of other jackets from the running, cycling and outdoor department, but either those were pure rain jackets with limited ventilation, or too tight on shoulders or hips, too heavy, and all were very short.

I'd hoped to try on this one as for one it's not pink or black and their trail tights fit fairly well: but they didn't have it in-store. However, the jacket again looks fairly short on the photos and I don't know whether my hips will fit.

Anyone with experience with this jacket? Any other affordable recommendations?
