Thumbs up Tom Williams 3 x 100 press-up challenge - who's with me?

Listening to this weeks marathon talk, one of it's presenters, the triathlete Tom Williams has decided he is going to train to achieve 3 x 100 press ups. They have to be done in one session although you can take as much rest as you need between sets.

Although he is an ironman fit triathlete he started on 3 x 1 rep, then the next day progressed to 3 x 2 reps and has added 1 rep to each set per day. He is working on the principals or training and adaptation and hoping he will get to 3 x 100 press ups. When he recorded the show he was on 3 x 26 reps on day 27 (he took day 26 as a rest day).

Sounds like fun. Anyone fancy joining me to see if we can achieve it and replicate Tom's programme? I figured if there where more of us and if I posted daily updates it might help me get there!

Anyway, yesterday was 3 x 1 rep (which felt silly as I could probably do quite a few more than that) later I will be attempting.... 3 x 2 press ups.

who's with me??????

Im up for this, many years ago I wondered if I could get to 365 press ups by adding one per day. I got to about 80, can't remember why I gave up.

As its 3 x 2 today I shall start with this.

I normally have a positive outlook but 3 x 100!!

Ill just worry about one day at a time. Do we get a rest day at anypoint or do we have to do it everyday?

Im fine at the mo but when I get nearer to 3 x 5 it could be an issue!
