Good luck to you all - I'm having another bash at the half marathon tomorrow. Don't have to worry about putting the chip in my shoes this time as its on the back of my race number.

I shall be mostly wearing my club t-shirt but don't worry Dan I have wore my forum t-shirt on club nights.

Enjoyed the race this morning. Finally managed to get under 50 minutes.(49:20) for a 10k.

It was nice to meet you at the start line TT, and you HF at the finish line.

Hayley, I`m sure I saw you at the begining of the race. When we had to turn back on ourselves. No. 110. If it was you I suspect you were pleased with your time, because you were in front of me then and I never passed you.

Well done Dave - I set a new PB as well 2:24:21 even managed a sprint finish and pipped someone else to the post. It was wet to start with but I didn't really notice it and I really enjoyed it this time.

Hi Stotty,
I ran the Torbay Half marathon - its a bit of a repetitive route as you run round Paignton Green twice then out to Torquay, then back to Paignton, another half circuit around the green, then back out to Torquay and then return to Paignton for the finish. The route undulates as well and the hills are bigger on the return leg.

However I was concentrating so much on running and keeping going that I didn't mind the 2 laps. Felt a bit tired at mile 8 so slowed down a little but then I got my second wind. I saw Mick & Phill Marathon lads as well.

Well done Hayley.

Well done to Dave and Hayley, cracking times you got, it was great to meet you.

I did it in (recorded) 52:47 (watch) 52:30, I have to say I was dissapointed with my time would like to have got under the 50 mins, have done so in previous training runs, but what can I expect with little training, probably being a touch harsh, but will make me work harder for next time.

Having said that it is still a pb and a pb is a pb...

I had 7 members of my family running as well and my Dad completed his first race in over 20 years, he had to pull out of the Silverstone 1/2 after 5 miles this year, due to his ankle giving way.

His doctor told him he should not run anymore due to the arthritus in his ankle, but his last ditched attempt at running was to wear a pair of kangoo boots you may have heard of them, well he ran in them and and they don't give him and problems as they provide excellent support to his ankle and take away up to 70% of the shock, to say he was over the moon was an understatement and now thinks it will be possible again to run a 1/2 marathon.

This is what they look like, and he got asked alot why he was wearing them...

Still stiff from Sunday but it was a good event and will be returning next year hopefully.

It was good to see you at the finish Dave although I realised afterwards that I didn't give you a chance to catch your breath! I think the adrenalin was still pumping.

I was pleased with 41:54 as this was my first 10k too.

well done Hayley,SE and TT.

Cheers HF.

I did push myself all the way on Sunday ,So it did take me a bit of time to get my breath back.

I`m glad I saw TT before the start, while I was still reasonably "normal".......

As you say, well done to everybody who ran wherever at the weekend,It seems that we were all happy with our times.

I think the pick of the weekend runs were probably,You And Hayley at Horndon, and of course Foxy the national champion.....
