Not so sure about that Dave, i seem to be stronger at the shorter distances i think. When it comes to putting miles on the clock when training, like you lot on the forum, im not so good, maybe stick to what im better at im not quite sure.

Perhaps I have this wrong.(somebody will tell me I`m sure) But........

I don`t think You realise how quick that run was for somebody who has only been running a relatively short time.

Look at some club websites and check their female best times for 5k,and you will see how close you are. (In fact it would be a record at some clubs).

Keep it up.........

Thanks Dave, i think i may have to join a club. I run on my own all the time, my other half doesnt run and so i dont really have any one to share my running with.(apart from all you lovely lot on here)!!
Its only when i take part in races with others around me that i think oh this is what its about and i really enjoy it more.
I dont know why i cant run longer distances than 6miles, maybe its a different ball game running long distance but if i join a club then maybe they can push me in the right direction

If you could run 19:12 at BPTT.... then that would put you at 57 out of the 1775 ladies who have attempted the distance! There are plenty of weeks during the year where that would be a winning time.

Here's the complete ladies league - http://www.parkrun.com/snippets/bptt...guetableF.html

Even if the course were to prove short (the 14 minute time does sound maybe 1 or 2 minutes too quick to me...) then that would still leave you with a very very respectable time!
