I'm hoping it's just dress rehearsal nerves Karen. Silly though as I've done loads of races!
I think it could be done to the fact that I wanted to do a good 'un.

Trinity,
Do you mean Bedford or St Neots?

How did you get on yesterday Steve?

I managed 1h 44 32. Nothing amazing for me but quite happy as I was aiming for 8 min miles. Really enjoyed it. Just need to get back to the long runs to get back to my best.

From about 3 miles I was going backwards Hammerite.
I knew I was running with niggling injuries but left hip pain that I haven't suffered from for over a year came back to haunt me!
I got round in 1h 38 46 so not too bad I guess but some 6mins off my pb and 3mins slower than the hilly 1/2m I did in Keswick in April.

Great conditions though weren't they and all seem well organised.
I quite like the long sleeved T too.

Glad you did ok and enjoyed the run...shame we didn't meet up though I probably saw you come in as I was at the finish line for a while!

Here's to next year!!

Thanks Karen.

Yes conditions were pretty much perfect Steve. I didn't struggle all way round, only wavered a little at mile 10, but I think that was because of the recovery from mile 9 and the head wind. Recovered enough for a 7 min final mile, which was quite pleasing!
