ah... so you saw through my cunning plan then

I went to the torture chamber this morning too... needless to say he found some 'tightness' in my legs to work painfully deep on, but he said everything will have recovered and be fine by Sunday... so I can't use that excuse then

Steve...are you running today?

I can't decide whether to or not.

I wouldn't normally run the same day that i see my sports therapist but I haven't run since Sunday and the only other chance this week will be tomorrow evening

I'm getting the pre-marathon jitters

I did my last 5miler last night and won't do anything more now. Fizz went deep on the basis that all I'd do until race day was stretch.

It's amazing how the mind plays havoc with you, it's easy to forget all the hard work you have done, well not forget as much but you know what I mean, because none of it has been easy....

You're right...that's why I wouldn't normally run after treatment.

But at this stage before a marathon I'd usually do 3 or so and then a couple of miles on Friday just to de-stress.
But I can't run on Friday because of work and then travelling to London, so that just leaves today and tomorrow.

I would also usually run those miles fairly easy but now I'm scared of running slowly because my injury always used to flare up when I ran easy.

I'm in a right old quandry

ok... I gave myself a slap and calmed down

I've decided not to run today because my legs are still recovering from this morning's battering.

I will run 3 fastish miles tomorrow evening and that will be it.

<takes deep calming breaths>

Good for you trin, not the fact that you gave your self a pasting, but being realistic, besides and you know this anyway, any further running this week isn't going to make much difference to Sunday
