In that case are you pushing yourself too hard? You don't want to end up with a problem similar to Trinity's.

If you are running mileage you are bound to feel tired.
That's the problem with runners these days. They do 50 miles get tired and think they are doing too much, then never do a 'big' week again!I am aiming to build up to 80-90 mpw in the next few weeks. Mileage is the answer with some faster stuff for the Marathon. You really can't race a decent marathon off 40mpw!
Need to get more sleep and eat better!

Much better week last week.
66 miles. Sunday long run was 10 minutes faster than 2 weeks ago and a mile longer!
Good luck all of you doing spring marathons.
Aiming for 70-80 this week.

I've been running for over 20 years so I have built up to it.
60 a week is easy if you run 7 days a week. Not even 10 miles a day!

Last week went well..up to just over 15m on long run.
Cross country weekend so long run, around 14m I think, will be Saturday before the XC Sunday which will no doubt suffer. As we are middling as a team it doesn't really matter if I drop a few places.

Last week did 40m.
Saturday I did 15m on the treadmill at he gym and learnt how to cook all sorts of food! Sat am TV seems to be dedicated to cooking! Sore right groin played up again which is a bit of a worry. It was even worse on Sunday when I ran the cross country causing me to limp the last lap and finish in worst position this year.Still cross country and short distance races are out now until after FLM.
Next 3 races are Gt East Run, 20K, on 18/2, Wynmondham 20m 4/3 and then Bungay 1/2m 1/4....all being well of course.

15 miles on the treadmill you were brave, furthest I have done is 6 miles and I could have happily pulled off body parts just to relieve the boredom... Good going

I don't mind treadmill training...easy to regulate pace after all. I prefer better TV though!

I have been doing my speedwork on the treadmill for that very reason and I have come along in leaps and bounds, I don't think I could have acheived on the roads, so it has boosted my confidence no end
