Last week I did just under 40miles including 16.25m on treadmill on Sunday. I had planned to run with 2/3 colleagues on Sunday but the awful weather here in the morning put paid to that and I didn't want to wait to run in the afternoon.

Was pleased with Sunday's effort even though it was only at 8min 30sec mile pace as I wasn't very well on Saturday...don't know why, just off colour and lethargic.

I had fizz on the Friday..a full 50 mins on my right groin....as it didn't cause me a problem to speak of on Sunday I think the fizz must have worked....we'll see when I try a quicker run later this week.

Gt East Run, 20k, this Sunday. Not sure whether to race it or to run it as part of training and add some miles on beforehand. Might be a last minute decision depending on the weather!

Dreadfull weak for me. Got food poisoning which killed my mileage dead!
Just ran easy to keep the streak alive.
Brighton 1/2 on Sunday. Will do 3 warm up and 3 warm down to get my long one in.

Just over 40 miles for me last week, which included a couple of treadmill runs. One for my hill work (it's very flat around these parts) and one slow 9 miler.
Should have done a longer run at the weekend but took part in the brands hatch half and went for it instead.New p.b. by 8 mins and even managed to get in the top 50 (49th )Whats going on here!

A 60 mile week for me, knackered by the end of it though. Long run up to 18.5 in a bit over 2hr 05, speedwork going nicely and Lisbon half in 4 odd weeks...

A reduced mileage week last week with the Gt East Run, 20k, on Sunday.
Right groin seems to be recovering thanks to fizz and not having really pushed hard the week before last. Have done 3 good runs this week and not suffered during or afterwards so, fingers crossed, I'm back on track for the 3hrs 30 I'm, optimistically after at FLM.

Did the 20k in just 35 secs slower than last year, in 1hr 28' 20". Next test is the 20miler on 4/3....

Glad to see your injury is on the downward path. Mine is too, and it's a nice feeling. Sorry to hear about the cold though. If it's in your lungs then remember to be careful about running.

Not that you need telling about these things

Good news about your "no injuries run" Steve.Sorry to hear about the man flu though.

A reduced mileage week for me last week. Not by much though.Scheduled to do approx 40 miles but done 30 and had a slow 8 miler on Sunday instead of the suggested 5 to 13 mile race.Felt like I needed more rest time.
I have been extremely lethargic over the last week or so.Previous week I covered 56 miles which is new territory for me.That coupled with a hard going and very hilly half marathon the week before really took it out of me I think.
I've also looked a bit more closely at my diet and realised that I haven't had the balance between carbs/protein/fats that I thought.I will be upping my carb intake over the coming weeks as the mileage increases further and hopefully this will go some way to improving my energy levels.Feeling better today.(a rest day)and looking forward to next weekends 20 miler.Aswel as the midweek runs ofcourse

Just a head cold Karen....not man flu ....yet!!

Sounds as if you may have pushed a bit too hard hot foot. Don't burn out now!
Are you doing a 20m race or a training run? I'm doing the Wymondham 20m race Sunday.
