After the previous two successful weeks when I have completed a 12 and then a 14, I went out to try 16 today. Unfortunately my leg had other ideas and didn't want to go any further than...well 12.5 really, but I managed to get 13.1 out of it in 1 hour 49 mins.

Nice time...shame about the distance

I've still got 2 Thursdays left so might try the 16 again next week and if that's ok, up it to 17 or 18 the following week. Then a short sharp taper before the big day.

Well that's the plan anyway... please God just give me this one!

My number is 28510, which puts me firmly in the Green start

Out of curiosity, just how many categories go from the 'Green' start nowadays? When I ran 'London' in 1995 I believe the Green start was introduced for geriatrics (Over 60's men and Over 55 women) to maybe prevent them being trampled to death at the other starts! It was OK by me - having emerged from the loos at 9.27, dashed to the front of the line-up and led the race for the first mile till we joined the main stream. My few minutes of fame!
Cheers!

The GFA's (Good For Age) entries go from the green start, as do the celebs. I'm not sure about what other categories go from there though
