Blue shorts heh, no problem then , I was going to look out for someone in all green with their tongue hanging out
The New Forest half had championchip timing, so I know that 2:04 is my true time for that race. Thanks for the reassurance about the jostling at the start, sounds like I shouldn't take too much notice of my fist mile split.

Having lived in Reading all my life, I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like to run, having spent previous years cursing the fact that all the roads are closed (even if it is only for a couple of hours once a year on a Sunday!)

Does the blue nose give you away?

I think they're trialing colour coded start numbers this year too so hopefully this will mean most people are where they should be, but we'll see.....

Yeah the one with the blue nose & collar that's me. Hopefully I won't need to use the litter tray during the race :~

Good luck everyone for this weekend.
I am doing Reading, judging by the 'up and down' training the last few weeks, I will probably be coming over the finish line on all fours! Look out for the pink and white puss!

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend.

My first half isn't until 18th May, its the Monklands Half. I've just started picking up the mileage in the past few weeks. The training is going well, so I hope to beat last years time in the race.

so how did everyone get on who was racing today then?

I surprised myself, given how sick I've been this week. I did 1.36.02 at the Llanelli half, although mine and a few other people's Garmins measured it short at between 12.88 and 12.92 miles.

My half PB is 1.35.51, so I'm kind of glad that I didn't beat that today because my conscience wouldn't have allowed me to count it

I got a PB today at Reading today. Also, got my goal to finish under 2hrs (1:57:20)

Do we log Chip times or Gun times here (Hope it's chip, the gun time was over 2 hrs it took me 8 minutes to get over the start line and then another 11+ mins to get to the first mile because of the crowds)
