Hi Guys, I love that quote!!
The Kilimanjaro Marathon is not (thank god!) a race up and down the highest lump of africa, but a road race held at the bottom, in and around the town of Moshi on the southern side of the mtn. It has grown in popularity and size for the last 8 years, and next year East African Adventure are running the first trip to the marathon from the Uk at the beginning of march.
I have been running for years but not raced at any distance, let alone a marathon (the only event i've done so far that was solely running is the jurassic coast challenge!) but definately want to do this! I thought I'd post it up here because it may be of interest...
