Giving blood?

I wasn't sure where to post this - if it's in the wrong area, can a mod move it. Ta

Does anyone on here give blood?

I donated today after work and decided to cancel my Monday night run because of that as it would have meant giving blood 3 hours before running.

Which means I'm going to have to fit it in another day this week.

Just wondering what everyone else does when they give blood.

I don't give blood because I can't but a runner I know does. After giving blood he usually goes for a run but an easy, short one of about 30 minutes.
He feels a bit more tired but nothing too bad.

Eeek - a 30 minute run is a long one for me!

I cant run for about 3 days after giving blood as I reel really rough for that time but on the fourth day I go out for about half an hour. Often this means missing at least one club run.
