Running Songs
Apologies if been done before but what's your fave music to get out and run to? At the moment, and I don't even listen to it any other time, I love dance music! I just love going along with the beats! Basshunter seems to do me good at the mo!
Just being nosy and seeing what everyone's preference is!

I don't listen to any music while i'm running, but i do keep on getting Kasabian, The Chemical Brothers and pretty much anything else with a fairly fast repetitive beat going through my head. Sometimes the same song is stuck in my head for an entire run. Kasabian's 'Vlad the Impaler' is currently stuck on repeat .

I have the 101 Running Songs too, but find with 'regular' music there is a lot of beat change with the start and finish of some songs which puts me out of synch with my pace (easily distracted you see!). I do like dance music, but only for running, particularly Trance which has a regular beat with overtones of added interest to break the monotony whilst retaining repetition (if that makes sense). There are are some good sets out there which are mixed according to your required pace.
I quite like The Black Eyed Peas for running and 'I got a feeling' is a real lifter when the legs are dragging a bit. Rather embarrassing, I also like Katy Perry's 1st album which is one of those which you love when running but just feels all wrong if you were to listen to it on an everyday level.

I've got the 101 running songs aswell, I just found some of them really strange!!! Run around Sue....
It all depends on what mood i'm in really, I've got a playlist made up of only female songs (destiny's child survivor, Katy Perry I kissed a girl etc) and then I have a playlist of dance and trance at the mo which I'm always using, guess it depends on what mood i'm in!
Really enjoyed my run Sunday and that was to dance, think today's playlist will be the same!

If you like dance music Fred Deakins "Nu Balearica" mix is good, very uplifting. I don't use music for running but if I did this would be the first thing I'd go for, I can picture myself ticking along nicely to it.

the new Ministry of Sound Running Trax album is good - 3CDs too so plenty to keep you going. They're split into Jog, Run and Sprint CDs, but I think I could run the same to them all
I have got the 101 running tracks too, but many were too slow or old for me personally, but still quite a few made it onto my player.

have you seen the new album think it may be ministry of sound running tracks it has all the tracks individually then 3 running mixes at the end, its really good and good value for money mostly dancey stuff
other than that i listen to mainly old school dance stuff, or iv got a very random playlist with stuff like brothers in arms by dire straights, cool as cars by squeeze and other such random stuff which is quite good for slow long runs

Have just spotted the ministry of sound trax in health and fitness magazine i was reading said you get it free when subscribe. Going to check the cd out on amazon and see if my brother has it or can get hold it for me. I think its defo personal preference with the music etc what works for one may not for another. I love Journey don't stop believing at moment that sound motivates me. Have to admit to liking a bit of mcfly aswell (runs off quicker than i ever have after admitting to that ).
