You should have given them an incentive and said you would run it in the nude, that would have got you a good turn out

Great East Run in Bungay...20k...yesterday was the 10th of the 12 club champs races.
Conditions were excellent...sunny but crisp...and no wind. The course was undulating with a nice little climb 600ms from the end to catch the unaware out!! Fortuantely I've done this race 4 times now so was well aware of the sting in the tale!
542 finished the race....I was 68th in a pb, on my watch, of 1hr 24' 46" so was happy with that and was 3rd LRR runner home.
SWMBO was 352nd and was well chuffed to beat her target time of 1hr 50mins and finished in 1hr 48' 33"...also a pb...and was 2nd LRR lady home.
Leece also ran very well this being her longest race to date...not bad for someone who only started running in October!

Don't know why I forgot to mention this in the report but at the finish there was a mug of soup as well as a standard goodie bag and...wait for it Dave......................................

Sub 40 still a difficult target for me...did break 20mins for 5k for second time only 2 weeks ago but sub90 is my aim for Broadlands 1/2m on 16/3....fingers crossed!!
