Storming work, Laura!
Blimey, 8 minute miles!!!! It gives me a teeny glimmer of hope that some day, I too will break the 10 minutes mile barrier!

Thanks girls!! Giving me the warm and fuzzies this morning!!

I think it is amazing how much my LSR have improved my shorter work too! I haven't done a speed session properly in a while and was very shocked that my Garmin kept telling me I was going too fast, because it felt just right (hard but not feeling I might )

I think you have provided us all with the perfect example off what a varied training routine can do for your stamina and over all performance.. Stirling work.

Keep posting Lau.

Laura you're on fire! I'm almost tempted try a pyramid session next week now!

Just to say, I will be doing more miles Saturday and Sunday but after today may not be able to post until Tuesday (home internet connection is impossibly slow, can sometimes post from phone but its a bit temperamental) so if I seem to have disappeared for a few days that's what's happened.

p.s. mentioned Brighton 10K to hubby who wasn't hugely keen at first but I think may be able to talk him round. Difficulty is he doesn't like arranging anything more than a week in advance unless he absolutely has to but I am keen in principle. (Cannock I think is too far out of the way for me so will pass on that one)

Really impressive running Laura - whoop whoop for you! And nice one to Sid for starting running, and welcome to the LWLI!

Adding to the locations thread I'm Laura in York. So fairly far from all of you. :-(

I might go for a run tonight but the legs are still v sore from Wednesday's exploits, so may rest until tomorrow. Will see how I feel later - if TT is out running though I'm not sure how much weight my sore legs excuse holds!

Great start SL, but be warned... this running lark is way too addictive!!!

Non stop chattering from the littlest macj is driving me nutty, but I did manage 30 mins kick boxing with Davina this morning (well, more like bent leg flicking than anything else, my hamstrings are so tight I can't kick straight to save my life!), and OH is going to baby sit whilst I go out for a run tonight.

Liking the sound of a pyramid session too, something a bit different.

Hi everyone. I'm still around but on a rest week following Sunday. Think I might brave it tomorrow and go out for a steady run - I'm missing it already. Seem to have had loads of time on my hands, though - makes a change to get home from work and not have to get my kit on and head out the door!

Jayne, I think after Sunday you are excused a week off

Laura, your on fire and a great example of good running. I love pyramids but only tend to do them at club every few weeks.

Wish me luck for tomorrow girlie's, this one is for Team LWLI

Echo what been said jaynee defo deserve some rest and you time after VLM big achievement. Great going Laura i must try them some time. Goos luck tomorrow L not that you will need it a half distance is the norm for you now girly.

I have to confess i have not ran today, work is really knackering me out at the moment after 12 hours yesterday i woke this morning feeling awful. I went and did an hour at gym as thats easier than running and skipped the run i should of done. Can't run tomorrow as have another long shift then on nights as of monday so not sure when i will get out. It may be wednesday now before i venture out as i am feeling really run down and exhausted think i have finally reached the point of burn out.

Keep up the good work ladies, someone has to while i am slacking !!!

Am going to tentatively pop my head around the door and introduce myself Quick run down of me being I'm a 37 year old mum of three, very unfit, to reliant on the car, live a minute slow amble away from the kids school and although I own dogs, they get to run after balls on their walks whilst I amble around Basically a lazy unfit 37 year old 13stone slob who was smoking 20-30 a day up until 3 months ago.

Have very recently started brisk walking and managed 24 minutes of fairly brisk walking today which is a new record at keeping up that pace. Going to keep doing that circuit for a bit and then am going to try Hruns walk/run programme in the beginners section. It's my goal to be able to run for 20 minutes without stopping or collapsing into an exhauseted heap by the end of the year.
