HI Ladies, i really must get sorted as i want to catch up with you lovely ladies its long overdue. I to am bit injured again at moment Jaynee with my ankle and achilles.
15 Miles is great judy glad you have found your mojo, i had 10 planned yesterday but it didnt work out stopped at 6 stupidly went out without water and felt effects. Then again i had done a hard bootcamp session yesterday morning so running on same day wasnt greatest idea. On better note i got moved up a bib colour so no longer in the beginner group.

Well done, Shirley must have worked you hard Shame I can't join you on a week Saturday, being in work on Saturday mornings is a pain.
I'm all signed up for Cross the Bay now I put down estimated finish time as 2:30 to be on the conservative side as I've never run on sand or through water before.

Howdy ladies,
I've still just been ticking over - just doing 3 or so runs a week of 3-4 miles. Did over 6 this morning. It's quite nice to just go out with no pressure. I've even missed the odd Sunday run *shockhorror*!!
The Cross Bay sounds fun - bit far for me though.

Hi Ladies,
i am losing my mojo at the moment, really struggled with my longer run today dont seem be making progress. I managed to get myself a late place in great north run aswell yesterday and even that isn't motivating me.
I think my legs need a rest but too scared to rest as cardio wise feel quite strong at moment.
Vonnie

Hello ladies. Just checking in. I've had a better week running wise. Managed 10 miles on Friday in 1.33 which is almost back to where I was before the Skeggy marathon took its toll on me. Hopefully, I'll attempt a 13 miler before I go on my hols next Saturday. Break up from school on Thursday - yipeee! I think I'm going to take my running gear on holiday, after all. We're having a week in Brittany just chilling - I don't think it's going to be very hot so no excuse not to run.
Looking forward to Cross Bay - Judy I can't remember putting in an anticipated finish time... it won't be fast, that I do know!!

Gosh I think we're all on a bit of 'down time' aren't we?
I'm only managing around 10-12 miles pw......but I'm not too bothered/worried...although I would have liked to have got to 1,000 miles this year. Still not out of the question I suppose but where does the time go?
Good luck to all Corss Bay HM ers - when is it?
Jaynee...I can't imagine running into double digits at the mo' let alone 13 miles!!! Enjoy your hols.

Will I be tempting fate if I say that I hope this week I'll get back to it, without any more setbacks! Visitors now gone - pneumonia now gone - achey hip from climbing too many steps last week (including 325 up the tower of Durham Cathedral), now gone! Fingers crossed.

I'm sure you will be fine Pam, glad to hear you are feeling better.
My mileage is still very low too, mainly due to an ongoing injury but also swimming and cycling takes up a lot of my training hours now.

Well.... did you go? (Welcome aboard by the way! )
Pam - glad you are feeling better - hope you get back into the swing of things soon.
I had two really good runs on Tuesday and Thursday last week (as well as a bit of a dabble in barefoot running.) Sadly I think they took their toll when I did my timed mile on Saturday as I was feeling a bit tired and also on my LSR yesterday. Not too bad considering though - especially as just having logged them all I have realised my total for last week was just over 28 miles.

Wow Jeanette - nice weekly total! I don't think I've ever topped 20. A very gentle couple of miles this morning - achey hip/pelvis still not quite right - but not getting any worse either!.
Jeanette - have you seen the Lloyds TSB ad with cartoon type characters carrying the Olympic torch? Now I've no idea why this is but when you see the girl with torch and an icecream cornet I think she looks like you! I mean this in the nicest way - but I've no idea why I should think this!

Pam - I haven't seen it but I'm intrigued now. When you mentioned running and ice cream though, for a worrying second I thought you were referring to this picture which always makes me laugh. (I thought the girl at the bottom was carrying an ice cream but having looked at again now I'm not so sure.)
Edit- the penny has just dropped - I know the ad you mean now and can see where you are coming from in that I did have vaguely similar hair for a while.
Apart from that - nothing like me! (but don't worry I've been compared to far worse - in fact I probably look more like an older version of the second girl above!)

That photo is SO me!! I hate it when I can see my shadow when I'm running - not that that happens very often these days, more likely to see a reflection in a puddle.
I think it is the hair style now you come to mention that.

Love it so me, im so glad i cant see what i actually look like when i run. It looks like i may be joining you ladies at the bay, been chatting about it today and been told id be ok to do it if i treat it as an easy run. So for me its more about re finding my confidence at distance and having fun along the way. Cardio wise i am not worried, but i need try and get miles up over next couple weeks.
