Weekend running 17-19th Feb

As we've had one the last few weeks thought I'd start this week, what's everyone up to this weekend??

I myself aren't sure. I may go out for a long run which I should do with marathon training, but my legs feel a little bit shot through with all the road running. So I might do one of our local leagues cross country's at Colwick Woods in Nottingham on Sunday morning, sounds like a lot more fun.

Bit of a scary one for me.
Bushy Park 5k time trial tomorrow, followed by 9k run.
Sunday 24k run.

And the inlaws are in town...

Bushy Park 5k time trial tomorrow - probably OK but not fast - plus 2km warm up and 2km cool down.
Sunday - 17.5 mile run - or maybe "only" 14.5 - it's up to her....

It's in the running bank earning interest, that's what counts!

What did i do? Well for the first time ever i did not finish in a race, pullling out after 12 mins in a xc due to calf tightening and frankly lack of enthusiasm. In my defence it was an extremely tough hilly course and it was at the top of the third steep hill, but for once in my life i did the sensible thing. Still feel like i wimped out though. It would probably have been better not to have started in the first place but i felt o.k. in a warm up around the first 2 hills.
