Its really embarrassing falling over isn't it?
Whats the first thing you do after you fall..... you get up and look around to see if anyone saw you fall.... then no matter how bad the fall..... you carry on regardless....then, when no-one can see you stop to either cry or bleed!!

Yep know what you mean.

I couldn't really hope that no one saw me as I was running with 3 others at the time!!

Red face

YES! First thing is looking around to check on the onlookers!
Then you run on, find a quiet corner and finally assess the damage.

Stupot... after that collision I went to talk to the woman in the car and apologized... And then ran away from that place as fast as I could as I could just imagine the people inside the cars behind and on the 2 BUS STOPS!!!!! laughing at me!

While out for a ride a few weeks ago I was hit by a runner. I was minding my own business, cycling along the side of a country lane road, with the direction of the traffic as you're supposed to and a runner ran straight towards and into me, catching my arm. She made no attempt to run round me at all.

My cycling partner and I stopped further up the road and I sent my cycling partner back to get an apology from her!! [Bliddy runners!]

Is it just me or do pedestrians not care anymore?
I had to slow right down and run round a guy the other night at a bus stop as he was NOT going to get out of my way!

I've also ran into a few wheelie bins, I blame the bin everytime!:

good morning my fellow runners gang...

well mine is slightly different though i have been hit by a bike... he rode right into the back of me,, it did hurt... but i kept my cool and then less than five mins later my dog, a boxer, literally run into me and took my legs right from under me,, i landed in the biggest puddle.. i wasnt hurt only my pride... and also while running in our local woods i have been savagely attacked by some huge tree branches that r in need of a hacksaw being taken to them..

mind you i just remembered that on sunday i was running with my husband, and this man and his dog was walking on the pavement my husband was in front, i was lagging behind, as usual, and this man WAS NOT GOING TO MOVE slightly to one side so we could pass, he just walked in a straight line even his dog was arrogant..and didnt move.. so we run into the road... my husband kept his cool, but i said sarcastically, oh excuse me...arrogant pig.. !!!! anyway he had a face like a slapped bum... perhaps his wife had not bought him an easter egg and he was sulking.. who knows..!!!

Well Chrisity can testify my accident last night whilst out running. Not so much a collision though.

Running along the canal towpath dodging the puddles, I decide to run on the grass "verge" on the edge of the canal. There were less puddles here and it was mostly flat, I was trying to keep an eye on my footing, but at one point my foot/leg nearly uptro my knee just went straight into a hole (probably left from a mooring that'd been taken out).

I went straight over into all the mud and was lucky not to have ended up in the canal or with any serious injury from anything in my leg snapping!

A couple of weeks ago I was checking my new Timex Ironman watch (at night) to see what sort of pace I had been running at, Due to the darkness, it was difficult to see the figures and I must have been doing it for a while as I was brought to an abrupt end by a lamp post. As much as I would like to blame the Council for sticking it there I feel its only fair to accept some of the blame myself.

Hence I will not be sueing Bristol City Council ..... this time anyway !!!

Never run into anything, but, I have ended up under a car thou.

In fact it was about a year ago and I was running (with the club) past a park when a large crowd of people where leaving from a fireworks show. I stepped off the pavement to avoid some kids when I slipped on some wet leaves and slid under a car. Luckily it was parked at the time.

The parents of the kids on the pavement did not check to see if I was ok and none of my running buddies saw it happen.

Revenge can be sweet. I was chased for about 400 meters by two dogs. The owner was comlpetely losing it. I sometimes muse happily about how long it may have taken him to get his livestock under control.
