What did you think I was recovering from? My spinal surgery was 8 weeks ago, and I've been given the all clear to run.
My ongoing leg problem hasn't shown itself as yet but it's still there and I'm seeing another consultant this Friday.

It's just my heart that's broken beyond repair, so I might as well keep running

That just shows how good my timekeeping is! Good to hear that you've got the all clear and that your problem hasn't caused you any grief so far.

I can only sympathise with your pain, but I don't think the 'beyond repair' part is true. It's a terrible thing that's happened Trin, and nobody deserves such pain, but things will undoubtedly improve!
