It sounds like a GREAT plan, and definitely it'd be better not to have to face my first race on my own but I have my final exam in Essex on the 16th of May...and I have no idea where life will take me afterwards I'm looking for internships for the summer, also have to write my dissertation... so I probably won't be able to join you, although I'd love to.

My future will be, hopefully, a little more clear in the following weaks

(I forgot to add that I'd be delighted to beat you all, veterans, in a 10k race.......)

(just kidding... I haven't even ever run so far without stopping )

By the way I don't know if you use this word only for 'war veterans' in English...........in Spanish it means just "experienced"

Well, similar meaning in English, however specificallyin a racing context it also identifies runners over a certain age category - of course, Jon, this means you will have to wait on some posters coming out of the sulk they have now gone into at the very thought of being described as 'vets' ! (ironically given my own age I couldn't complain, despite the fact that only taking up running a couple of years ago means I have way less experience than some on here).

Well I COULD, but I'm doing the malvern half on the 22nd and I'm going to hereford to visit my dad over that weekend, I won't have seen him since like march though and I think it would be rather rude of me to just piss off for a day I totally would though... perhaps one later in the year?
