Hmmmm, I'm unsure what to expect of the course... if you look at the hill profile on two different scales, it can either look like a nice fast course... with only a few inclines, or it can look like you've got 3 moutainous peaks to climb!
http://www.goodrunguide.co.uk/Elevat...8&Interval=0.1
Compared to....
http://www.goodrunguide.co.uk/Elevat...lEmphasis=True
It's also interesting to see there's an 'equivalent flat distance' of 6.56miles... I wonder if that means the 10k is measured as if it were a 2D course (i.e. in plan view with NO elevation) and we actually have to run 6.56mi once you take into account the hills... or whether... well... I dunno... something else??

I seem to have no ability to start a race without the aim of getting to the finish as fast as I physically can... which can be useful, but not always

I'm fully booked clear through to the middle of August , and since I'm still not running, I'd feel a fraud, anyway.
Maybe next year

PB was a few months ago, 37:18... though I've no idea where my fitness will be on June 21st. After just over 2 weeks of inactivity, a slow club run on tuesday absolutely killed me, and I'm off on hols next week so won't be training hard at all... with my current form I'll be ecstatic if I can manage a sub 40min.
